lyrics
Screaming for mercy
Begging for life
Under the dank earth
Coffin walls stifle all
Broken and wasted
Mind unwound
One point of light
Buried deep in the earth
So many before
Still the taste is sweet
This delicacy
Makes me howl into the night
Quivering lips
Under the dank earth
Choking on silt
It’s this vision that I crave
From blackest reaches
Come unto us
Agony adorning
Nigh corporeal
Torment weaving
A writhing shroud
Penetrating evil
Hope bleeding out
An altar of blackest obsidian awaits you
Anointed with blood of unending sacrifice
These halls echo with the screams of the innocent
Pain culled as material to be bent to your will
From blackest reaches
Come unto us
Agony adorning
Nigh corporeal
Torment weaving
A writhing shroud
Penetrating evil
Hope bleeding out
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
Extremely inventive and multifaceted sci-fi prog death, just like iridescent ethereal world on the cover art. Best band's achievement up to date. And easily in 2023 AOTY list Dmitry Nevozhay
An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
The Indonesian act Kekal leaves no genre unturned, colliding black metal with industrial music with melodic post-rock on this stunning LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023
Blinding, cinematic black metal with rich layers of synth make for an album sweeping in scope and punishing on impact. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 5, 2016
The San Francisco band rachet up the chaos on their second album, combining elements of hardcore, death metal, and grindcore. Bandcamp Album of the Day Sep 28, 2021
